Mark O’Donnell

Appointed to East Park in November 2025

Mark O’Donnell was appointed Interim Executive Director of East Park in November 2025. Mark brings extensive senior leadership and governance experience across the charity sector, including Chief Executive and Director roles in disability charities.

He was CEO of Sight Scotland until 2021, which runs the Royal Blind School, and like East Park, is a Grant-Aided Special School.  In recent years Mark has provided strategic consultancy support to a range of children’s and social care charities including Scottish Autism, The Mungo Foundation, Community Integrated Care, Enable and The Teapot Trust.

He also has private and public sector leadership experience.  He was Head of Planning, Performance and Estates at the Scottish Ambulance Service between 2006 – 2009 and then spent 5 years on secondment, including to the Scottish Government as a Deputy Director in Health and Social Care.  He is a Trustee of 3 charities in the disability and medical research sector.
