East Park understand that leaving school can be a significant step- not just for young people, but for their families too. Our highly trained and compassionate team are here to provide the right level of support during this important time. 

At Workmates, we believe in walking alongside young people and their families- truly listening, and understanding what matters most. Our goal is to empower young people to live the live they choose, by focussing on their strengths, interests and aspirations. 

Each young person who joins Workmates receives person-centred support, tailored to their individual needs and goals. Workmates is designed for young people who may need additional support to experience activities within the community and to learn new skills. This includes young people who may have: 

• a physical disability
• ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
• health and medical needs
• personal care needs
• communication issues
• challenging behaviour

We work with each young person on a one to one basis to develop their individual potential and to enable participation in:

• continuing education
• work experience
• community based classes
• independent living skills
• therapeutic activities

We are here to offer structure, encouragement and opportunity in a setting that is both safe and stimulating. 

We have a dedicated community base within East Park, as well as a beautiful community garden nearby. These spaces give young people the chance to learn, grow and connect in a natural, supportive environment.
